I think that the one thing the media should focus on more is not the differences between Islamic and Western countries, but the similarities. Cohen's travels and book is revolutionary because he focuses on how similar youth in the Middle East are compared to the youth in Europe or the United Sates. A focus on these similarities would increase overall knowledge of the Middle East, which is key to increasing peaceful relations between the West.
